Comox Valley, meet Steve:

We love a bit of nostalgia here at the Bean, and the opening of our Comox Valley location has us thinking about the early days. Steve Fraser (AKA Steve Weave) joined our team as a roaster in 1996, and he’s been a valued member of the Bean family ever since. When he pitched us on setting up a second coffeehouse on Vancouver Island, we were all for it. 

We know the folks in Comox will appreciate Steve’s attention to detail, salty wit, and pursuit of the perfect bean. His active lifestyle helped him fit right in at headquarters here on Vancouver’s North shore, and we trust that he’ll find a like-minded island crew. 

As a wish-you-well token, we’re sending over the original Probat L5 used in our flagship store back in 1990! If you hail from Comox Valley, take a minute to stop in to the coffeehouse and welcome the Frasers to the neighbourhood.
